Job summary

Avensys Consulting is seeking a senior Android engineer to design, develop, and maintain demo solutions and POCs for Verifone payment integrations. You will work across device, backend, and UI layers to deliver reliable, repeatable demos aligned with client scope.

The role emphasizes integration engineering, tool development, and production support rather than ongoing product feature work, requiring strong Java/Kotlin skills and backend experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 8+ years of Android/embedded/mobile software development experience.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced client-facing environment.
• Experience with full stack/integration is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android-based demo apps (on-device and off-device).
• Build and support backend services and RESTful APIs for demos/POCs.
• Develop reusable end-to-end demo solutions showcasing Verifone offerings and workflows.
• Deliver POCs for new prospects and existing clients.
• Support third-party POS integrations with Verifone solutions and end-to-end validation.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, solutions/sales, QA and support.
• Debug and resolve production defects across devices, OS, backend, and network layers.
• Contribute to productivity tools, debugging/testing tools, automation and technical docs.
