Job summary

Turnitin is modernizing its Revenue Operations analytics foundation by migrating legacy workflows to governed dbt models on Redshift, creating a trusted, consolidated view for Sales, Marketing, and Finance. You’ll own models, pipelines, and tests, shaping an early-stage function with influential input on design and requirements.

You will design grain-specific models, ensure lineage, and manage orchestration and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI with modeling responsibility.
• Proven production dbt projects experience, including testing and documentation.
• Hands-on production experience with Dagster or Airflow.
• Advanced SQL and Redshift experience, including performance tuning.
• Git-based workflow, code reviews, and CI as standard practice.
• Strong working knowledge of Salesforce data model.
• Python for data work and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of legacy workflows to dbt models on Redshift with proper testing.
• Design models with clear lineage and grain for certified marts.
• Own orchestration, monitoring, and alerting in Dagster or Airflow; manage ingestion layers.
• Keep Redshift fast and cost-effective for analytics workloads.
• Trace issues to root cause across reporting, data model, or processes and fix accordingly.
• Build data foundations for RevOps initiatives like health scoring and churn prediction.
• Apply AI/LLM tooling thoughtfully within the engineering workflow.
