Job summary

Sutherland in Manila is seeking a highly analytical Manager, Advanced Analytics & Data Science (Individual Contributor) to transform complex data into strategic insights, predictive solutions, and measurable business impact.

You will partner with senior leaders, apply ML, NLP, and modern analytics platforms, and deliver executive-ready storytelling and dashboards that drive efficiency, customer experience, and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Business Analytics, or related field.
• Strong expertise in SQL and Python for data analysis and model development.
• Experience building predictive and statistical models including forecasting, regression, classification, and segmentation.
• Solid understanding of data visualization and business intelligence concepts.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating challenges into analytical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience using Git or similar version control tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, patterns, opportunities, and risks across business operations.
• Develop descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics solutions to support strategic decision-making.
• Translate complex business questions into actionable analytical frameworks and recommendations.
• Deliver executive-level insights through compelling storytelling, visualizations, and presentations.
• Design, build, and deploy predictive models, including forecasting, classification, clustering, and recommendation models.
• Apply statistical methods to identify business drivers and improve performance outcomes.
• Evaluate model effectiveness and continuously refine solutions to maximize accuracy and business value.
• Leverage Python, SQL, and modern analytics tools to support scalable data science initiatives.
• Analyze unstructured data sources such as customer interactions, transcripts, feedback, and operational documentation.
• Utilize NLP and AI-based methodologies to identify sentiment, themes, behaviors, and emerging trends.
• Support the development of intelligent analytics solutions that enhance operational performance and customer experience.
• Partner with business leaders to define requirements, align priorities, and identify data-driven opportunities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, helping stakeholders convert insights into measurable actions.
• Lead analytical discussions and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Manage multiple strategic initiatives while maintaining high-quality delivery standards.
• Work with large-scale data environments, cloud-based analytics platforms, and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Translate legacy reporting logic into scalable data solutions and ensure data quality and governance.
