Job summary

Northern Trust in the Manila office seeks a senior finance professional to handle complex financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting for ECOO. You will work with North America-based partners and local teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of plans and adjacencies.

Responsibilities include monthly close, cost accounting, invoicing, and ad hoc projects, with a focus on improving efficiency and reporting quality across locations.

Qualifications

• CPA is a plus but not required.
• 10+ years of collective experience in general and cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, management reporting, procurement, project management and analysis.
• Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, HFM, TM1/Cognos, SAP, Clarity PPM; Power BI a plus.

Responsibilities

Summary

Under the direction and coordination with onshore-based staff, this position will focus on handling complex financial analysis , calculation of forecast/plan, reporting and handle projects for ECOO Business Units. Analysis includes, but not limited to, expenditures, research on variances, study of trends, recorded journal entries , procurement related transactions , and financial reporting trends for ECOO Management group .

Major Duties

• Respons i b le for, or assists with, monthly/quarterly reporting processes which involve, but not limited to, forecasting, P&L variance analysis, and preparation of various reports and presentations to the management focusing on key business factors driving financial performance, as well as supplement reports needed by business partners.
• Assist in annual planning and forecast which includes, but not limited to, supporting the business unit for the preparation, timeliness and integrity of the budget and proactively providing sound and valuable recommendations to stakeholders that would impact key business decisions .
• Assist in the submission of invoices as requested by business partners, processing of cost chargebacks, and assist in the month-end close process including, but not limited to, reclassifications and adjustment entries.
• Directed by and work closely with North America-based partner on knowledge transfer and general collaboration .
• Own and improve expense reporting views in recurring deliverables .
• Develop strong relationships and closely coordinate with both partners in Manila and other locations in carrying the identified responsibilities.
• Work closely with the Team Leader and the Manager in identifying process improvements to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the team and in developing financial/business metrics that are vital to stakeholders' decision-making.
• Own and p articipate in other special projects and ad hoc requirements.
• Contribute to production of other report ing requirements for the Enterprise COO and DAO functions as needed.

Knowledge/Skills

• S trong analytical and problem solving skills required to evaluate financial results
• S trong knowledge of and experience in cost accounting and project management skills
• Broad financial and accounting knowledge and business acumen acquired through a 4-year degree program and related work experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required to present relevant information to management
• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office suite, PeopleSoft, HFM, TM1/Cognos, SAP, Clarity PPM and other similar systems used in financial reporting
• E xperience with business intelligence analytical tools required to interpret data, perform analyses and communicate financial information to various constituents . Knowledge and experience in Power BI reporting is a plus
• Detail-oriented, h ighly flexible and adaptable to change , and proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively and build relationships in a geographically-blended environment (North America and Manila, primarily)

Experience Required

CPA is a plus but not required , with 10+ years of collective experience in general and cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, management reporting, procurement, project management and analysis, and other relevant finance-related functional area s .

Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry is a plus.
