Job summary

Improving South America is assembling a focused engineering team to convert a proof-of-concept into a production-grade AI-driven tagging platform for financial reports.

You’ll work on Python backends, REST APIs, and an evolving web UI, integrating LLMs and designing robust pipelines for XBRL-related document processing, parsing, and metadata extraction. This is an early-stage product with growth opportunity.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years of software development experience with production systems.
• Proficient in Python backend development and building REST APIs.
• Experience with document processing pipelines (parsing/transformation/metadata extraction).

Responsibilities

• Harden production PoC into scalable platform with performance and reliability improvements.
• Establish infrastructure patterns: logging, config management, error handling.
• Build Python backends and REST APIs for AI tagging workflow.
