Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale infrastructure powering AI products. You will work across Python, TypeScript, and other modern languages on production-grade systems used worldwide.

This is a fully remote, hourly contract role for 20–40 hours per week. You will tackle challenging architectural problems and collaborate with top engineers in AI research and engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in professional software engineering.
• Strong coding skills in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software for AI training and deployment pipelines.
• Write clean, well-tested code in Python, TypeScript, or other modern languages.
• Build and optimize APIs, data pipelines, and backend services at scale.
• Architect solutions balancing speed with long-term maintainability.
• Troubleshoot issues across distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate asynchronously with ML engineers, researchers, and product managers.
• Participate in code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
• Work independently on well-scoped projects with ownership.
