Job summary

Insight is seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications using large language models and cloud AI services. This hybrid role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end AI solutions across diverse business domains within a Fortune 500 company.

You will build conversational agents, intelligent search tools, and AI-enabled enterprise integrations, applying prompt engineering, RAG patterns, and AI safety guardrails.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, with at least 1 year focused on AI/ML application development.
• Proficient in Python; experience with JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus.
• Hands-on experience building applications with large language models (LLMs). Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG patterns, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Experience with Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, and Azure Cognitive Services.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered applications using Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, including chat-based agents and RAG pipelines.
• Implement prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and AI safety guardrails for production applications.
• Build and integrate APIs connecting AI models to enterprise data sources and business apps.
• Leverage Semantic Kernel and related frameworks for chatbots, search apps, and agentic workflows.
• Collaborate with Full Stack Developers, Data Engineers, and Architects to deliver end-to-end AI solutions.
• Evaluate model outputs for accuracy, safety, and performance; support fine-tuning and evaluation activities.
• Stay current with evolving AI technologies and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
