Job summary

Kuga Corp in the Philippines is seeking an AI Software Engineer to design and build agents inside our CRM, using Claude and OpenAI APIs. You will own the full agent stack, from tool calls to memory, ensuring safe, auditable execution across systems.

You will implement retrieval-augmented generation, evaluate performance, and collaborate with sales, engineering and operations in three countries. A modern Eastwood office is available with day shifts.

Qualifications

• At least four years in software engineering with production LLM API experience.
• Shipped an agentic system with tool calling and multi-step reasoning.
• Strong Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript and DB familiarity.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation: embeddings and vector databases.
• Solid fundamentals: SQL, REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, async processing, version control, testing.
• Excellent written English and proactive problem-solving.
• Willing to work onsite at the Eastwood office.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and deploy AI agents inside the CRM using Claude and OpenAI APIs.
• Own the full agent stack: tool calls, outputs, retrieval, memory, orchestration and error handling.
• Build the retrieval layer with embeddings and vector search over knowledge.
• Write evaluations and quantify success against real records.
• Benchmark Claude vs ChatGPT on tasks and assess accuracy and cost.
• Integrate with the CRM and surrounding systems via APIs and webhooks.
• Ensure data safety and auditability; fail safely.
• Report progress to the Australian team and collaborate cross-country.
