Job summary

Medinex Limited is seeking a Senior Accounts Executive to join our outsourced team in the Novena Central Region. This full-time role drives the accounting function for our clients, delivering high-quality financial accounting and reporting services across healthcare and non-healthcare sectors.

You will manage the general ledger, prepare statements, and support audits while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and best practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills for explaining financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and reconciling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies for our clients.
• Managing and maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and categorised.
• Computing of GST and Corporate tax where applicable.
• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and analysis for the clients.
• Identifying and investigating variances and discrepancies in financial data, recommending corrective actions.
• Maintaining accurate and organised financial records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.

This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing the accounting function for our clients. As a Senior Accounts Executive, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial accounting and reporting services that support our clients' requirements. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team whilst developing your expertise in financial accounting and reporting within the healthcare and non-healthcare sector.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and reconciling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies for our clients
• Managing and maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and categorised
• Computing of GST and Corporate tax where applicable
• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and analysis for the clients
• Identifying and investigating variances and discrepancies in financial data, recommending corrective actions
• Maintaining accurate and organised financial records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
• Liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required

What we're looking for

• A professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification, or demonstrated substantial experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, reporting, or a similar accounting role, candidate with more experience can be considered for a manager position
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and best practices
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with financial data efficiently
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy in all financial work
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex accounting issues
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
