Job summary

Solvento Philippines, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Officer to join our team in Makati. The role supports overall accounting operations, including general accounting, financial reporting, month-end and year-end closing, and statutory compliance.

The candidate should have hands-on accounting experience, be able to independently manage activities, and coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and external parties to ensure accurate and timely financial records and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field.
• 4–5 years of accounting experience with general accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Experience preparing financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation and statutory compliance preferred.
• Experience coordinating with auditors is an advantage.
• Proficient in Excel (formulas, lookups, PivotTables).
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, schedules and reports.
• Monitor GL accounts; investigate discrepancies.
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations; support month-end/year-end closing.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules (Balance Sheet, Income Statement).
• Monitor Accounts Payable/Receivable and assist cash flow monitoring.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as required.
• Coordinate with auditors and prepare schedules for audits.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to ensure timely financial records.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
