Job summary

IAN SMART ENERGY CORP is seeking a Senior Accounting professional to join our finance team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This full-time role leads all financial accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy, integrity and compliance while providing strategic insights to support decision-making at all levels of the organisation.

You will oversee the general ledger, month-end close, tax compliance, audits, and drive improvements in accounting controls and ERP processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
CPA certification or equivalent is desirable.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements for energy/utility sectors.
Experience with month-end and year-end close in a complex environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee preparation and review of financial statements in line with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Manage the general ledger and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and consolidation schedules.
Supervise and develop accounting staff, imparting policies and best practices.
Develop and maintain accounting policies for consistency and compliance across operations.
Prepare and analyze financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
