FINEX in the Philippines seeks an Accounting and Finance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements and management accounts. The role involves developing accounting policies to meet reporting requirements and producing special reports for superiors.

The incumbent will lead a team of accounting specialists, coordinate with external auditors, bankers, and regulators, and stay current with tax laws.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Accountancy (BS Accountancy) with strong accounting knowledge.
• CPA preferred, with experience in statutory reporting and compliance.
• Minimum 5 years in accounting, 2 in a supervisory role.
• Experience in managing team development and performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the finance team in financial accounting and reporting.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and disclosure notes.
• Maintain journal entries and allocations with proper controls.
• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries via data analysis.
• Manage reconciliation of accounts and provide transaction analysis.
• Support strategic and business planning activities.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting.
• Support working capital management and funding strategies.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable and cash management.
• Process transactions using accounting information systems and software.
• Prepare reports and compliance with local and national statutory requirements.
