Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced accounting leader in Manila to review weekly and monthly work, mentor associates, and oversee monthly and quarterly reports. The role focuses on client管理, process improvements, and strong communication in a hybrid work setting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, a CPA is a plus, 3+ years in BPO, and hands-on experience with XERO, QBO, NetSuite and BILL, including E-commerce clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• CPA license is advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience (preferably in the BPO industry).
• Experience with XERO, QBO, NetSuite and BILL is required.
• Solid client management experience, especially with E-commerce clients.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities in a hybrid team setting.

Responsibilities

• Review weekly and monthly work prepared by the Associate Accountant and ensure completeness.
• Mentor Accounting Associates and provide training as needed.
• Lead the preparation and review of monthly/quarterly management reports.
• Support onboarding of new clients and handle complex tasks and audit support.
• Collaborate with Manager on process improvements and staffing for the team.
• Address client questions and guide project-related issues with the team.

Job description

• Reviews the correctness and completeness of the weekly work, which includes bills processing and bank transaction coding, and monthly work prepared by the Associate Accountant.
• Ensures all weekly and monthly responsibilities of the Associate accountant are being done diligently.
• Performs initial and/or final review of monthly and/or quarterly management reports.
• Provide Accounting and Technical support to Accounting Associate(s); train or guide the Accounting Associate(s) where needed.
• Handles new and complicated tasks, client onboarding, clean up and catch-up work, seasonal tasks (such as 1099 and audit support), and creation or maintenance of accounting work papers.
• Preparation of process documents and works together with the Manager on process improvements.
• Attend to Manager/Project Manager/Client’s questions, concerns, or issues.
• Work with the Manager on people management – team’s capacity, performance evaluation, staff concerns, interviews for new hire, employee onboarding, etc.
• In the absence of the Associate, Senior Accounting Associate assumes the responsibility of the Associate.
• In the absence of the Manager, can perform as the leader of the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in accounting is required.
• CPA License: Holding a CPA license is advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years (preferably in the BPO industry)
• Software Proficiency: Required experience with XERO, QBO, NetSuite, and BILL.
• Client Experience: Preference for candidates with experience managing E-commerce clients.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to thrive in a hybrid team setting, adept at using platforms such as Teams and email to collaborate with colleagues. The role involves extensive communication, as it involves direct engagement with clients.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading projects or teams, mentoring junior staff, and managing client relationships.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address technical and interpersonal challenges effectively.
• Client Management: Proven ability to manage multiple clients successfully.
