Job summary

Aprio's Client Accounting Services - Technology CAS Team in the Philippines seeks a Senior Accounting Associate to join a fast-growing, globally oriented firm. You will review day-to-day bookkeeping, manage crypto transactions, and ensure timely monthly close for crypto-linked clients.

The role offers a hybrid work setup, exposure to leading payroll software (Xero, QuickBooks Online), and opportunities for CPA progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the BPO industry.
• Experience in using payroll software, XERO and QBO required.
• Has a strong understanding on cryptocurrency or blockchain technology.
• Experience in handling clients that involves cryptocurrency transactions is preferred.
• A licensed CPA is an advantage.
• Can lead, communicate clearly and effectively.
• Amenable to a hybrid work arrangement.
• Open to a dayshift schedule with flexibility to accommodate other shifts when needed.

Responsibilities

• The accountant reviews day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for assigned clients.
• Understands cryptocurrency transactions, including buying, selling, swaps, and wrapping of digital assets in crypto accounting software.
• Reviews and manages processing of bills/receipts paid in fiat and cryptocurrency via third-party apps (e.g., Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, Dext).
• Reviews monthly amortization of prepaid expenses and depreciation of client assets.
• Reviews payroll journal entries from integrated payroll software or posted manual entries.
• During month-end closing, reviews reconciliation pages, updates working papers, and posts adjusting entries; reviews financial reports with trend analysis and cash runway.
