MicroSourcing in Pasay City is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate to strengthen its finance operations. You will oversee GL, reconciliation, month-end close, and financial reporting while guiding a team toward accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires 6+ years in accounting, leadership, Excel and QuickBooks expertise, and experience with Australian or US accounts. You will work onsite on night shifts, joining a diverse, growth‑oriented team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger (GL) processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform reconciliation of balance sheet accounts (bank, prepaids, payables, receivables).
• Drive month-end and year-end close activities and prepare financial reports.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting and monitor cash flow.
• Coordinate audit preparation and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Oversee payments processing (AP/AR) and related operations.
• Lead ad-hoc projects and process improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Your Role

As a Senior Accounting Associate, you will play a pivotal role in driving the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our finance and accounting operations. Leading by example, you will oversee essential financial processes, guide the team through critical closing cycles, and deliver impactful insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger Mastery: Manage the General Ledger (GL) process, including recording complex journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• End-to-End Reconciliation: Perform meticulous reconciliation of balance sheet accounts (bank, prepaids, payables, and receivables) to ensure data integrity.
• Financial Cycle Management: Drive month-end and year-end close activities; prepare accurate monthly/quarterly financial reports and support schedules.
• Strategic Planning Support: Assist in driving financial budget and forecast efforts alongside cash flow monitoring and management.
• Audit & Compliance: Coordinate audit preparation (retrieving documents, creating work papers) and ensure strict compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Payments & Operations: Oversee transaction processing for payments (accounts payable and accounts receivable).
• Agility & Optimization: Handle critical F/A adhoc tasks, special projects, and process improvement initiatives to strengthen internal controls.

What You Need (Requirements)

The non-negotiables:

• At least 6 years of solid experience in accounting or finance, with proven leadership experience.
• Deep hands‑on experience in General Ledger, Reconciliation, Payments, and handling diverse F/A adhoc tasks.
• Strong expertise in financial budget and forecast tracking, as well as audit prep and compliance.
• Advanced Excel and Quickbooks proficiency is a must.
• High proficiency in modern Accounting Systems and ERP software.
• Proven ability to effectively prioritize workloads in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with Australian or US accounts is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Must be willing to work onsite in our Pasay City office on the night shift.
