The successful candidate will manage new entity setups, provide board-ready analyses, and ensure compliance with BIR-related coordination through external consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or closely related field.
• Hands-on experience preparing or independently maintaining a Balance Sheet and complete financial statements.
• Proven background in month-end closes, account reconciliations, and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean general/subsidiary ledgers and monthly closes across multiple entities.
• Open, establish, and register books for newly incorporated group subsidiaries.
• Prepare full management financial statements with supporting schedules.
• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts, bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany schedules monthly.
• Reconcile inventory records with physical counts across RM, WIP, and FG.
• Audit and standardize accounting workflows and internal controls across entities.

• Manufacturing House (Las Piñas City): Handles production, raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory for high-end menswear and luxury custom apparel labels.
• Commercial & Retail Arm (Legazpi Village, Makati City): Oversees retail studios, client-facing services, and group management.
• Expanding Corporate Portfolio: Actively incorporating new ventures and subsidiaries, requiring strong financial systems and opening-balance setup.

Position Overview

• Location: On-site in Las Piñas City (with occasional Saturday work as required by the operating schedule)
• Primary Mandate: Full ownership of the month-end close, financial statements, inventory accounting, and opening/maintaining books across 4+ group entities (including newly incorporated ventures).

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Entity Financial Management: Maintain clean general/subsidiary ledgers and execute monthly closes across parent manufacturing, commercial, and new startup entities.
• New Entity Setup: Open, establish, and register books from month one for newly incorporated group subsidiaries.
• Financial Reporting & Statements: Prepare full management financial statements (Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Comprehensive Income, Cash Flow Statement) with supporting schedules.
• Reconciliations & Control: Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts, bank accounts, credit cards, payment gateways, and intercompany schedules monthly. Investigate unsupported or old balances.
• Inventory Accounting: Reconcile accounting records against physical workshop counts across Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.
• Internal Controls & Systems: Audit existing accounting workflows, establish controls over cash/disbursements/purchasing, and standardize procedures across all entities.
• Management Support: Prepare variance analyses, profitability/margin reports, and financial schedules for Board-level decision support.

Reviews & Support Structure

• Finance Head: Direct supervisor who reviews monthly bank reconciliations and management financial statements.
• External Tax Consultant: Retains primary responsibility for statutory BIR filings, tax compliance, and monthly intercompany reviews.
• Production Team: Partners on physical inventory counts and source-movement accuracy.

Candidate Profile

Core Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a closely related accounting field.
• Hands-on experience preparing or independently maintaining a Balance Sheet and complete financial statements.
• Proven background in month-end closes, account reconciliations, and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).

Strongly Preferred

• CPA Certification: Preferred (reflected in a higher compensation tier), though practical operational capabilities are highly valued.
• Industry Background: Experience in manufacturing, garments, retail, trading, or inventory-heavy sectors (handling Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods).
• Multi-Entity & Setup Experience: Background handling books for multiple companies or opening books for newly formed entities.
• Compliance Exposure: Familiarity with Philippine tax/BIR requirements and audit coordination.

Scope Boundaries (What the Role Excludes)

• No Primary Tax Filing: Statutory BIR returns are managed by the external tax consultant.
• No Payment Approval: Responsible for recording, reconciling, and escalating irregularities, but does not disburse or approve funds.
• Not an Encoding Role: Built for an accounting professional who owns the books, cleans up unsupported balances, and implements operational controls.
