Job summary

KBF Advisory is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our PH Managed Accounting Services team in the Alabang office, five days a week. You will lead client book closures, ensure accurate revenue recording, and perform cost accounting analyses across multiple industries.

The role requires a valid CPA license, deep US GAAP knowledge, and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and NetSuite. Flexibility for outside-hours client meetings and collaboration with U.S.-based leadership is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
• Licensed CPA.
• Previous public accounting experience working in audit.
• 5 combined years of accounting experience, with at least 2 in industry after CPA firm.
• Deep working knowledge of U.S. GAAP (US GAAP).
• Experience with multiple accounting systems (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close of client books across multiple engagements.
• Record revenue accurately and document cost accounting analyses.
• Review and mentor on the work of Bookkeepers and support staff.
• Coordinate with Managed Accounting Services and U.S.-based leadership on financial processes and budgets.
• Ensure GAAP compliance for revenue, equity, and leases as applicable.

KBF is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our PH Managed Accounting Services team based in our Alabang office 5 days a week.

As the external client-facing senior accountant at KBF within the Managed Accounting Services practice, you will be responsible for assisting clients with closing their books monthly, properly recording revenue, documenting and performing analysis over cost accounting and other critical areas, maintaining financial records for various clients, assisting with internal budgets and internal processes, and reviewing other team members’ work. This role will lead the monthly close of numerous client books in various industries. Due to client needs and time zones, the role requires a level of flexibility, and appointments with clients may need to be outside of normal working hours. This role is applicable to Philippine-based candidates only. This role will work closely with other members of the Managed Accounting Services team as well as U.S.-based leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions to challenges proactively. Seek to understand the clients’ business and use this knowledge to ensure transactions are recorded correctly. Leverage your full-cycle accounting experience to streamline accounting processes for our clients.
• Ability to plan, assign, and review work performed by Bookkeepers working on engagements for accuracy as well as provide feedback for improvement. Assist in implementing new tools and software.
• Drive the financial monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes for clients, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and complex accounting items for multiple clients simultaneously. Develop and refine a detailed close plan for each client and make sure all tasks are completed prior to scheduling a formal review with the Director of Managed Accounting Services.
• Proactively manage project deadlines to ensure delivery of work products based on client expectations and deadlines.
• Do technical accounting research for US GAAP issues related to clients and prepare technical memos to support conclusions for client issues.
• Perform detailed cost accounting and cost allocation reviews for clients.
• Collaborate with the Managed Accounting Services and Tax teams regarding technical questions as well as the progress of projects, tasks, and associated budgets.
• Review client financial performance on a monthly basis and make recommendations for improvement.
• Assist clients with properly recording transactions associated with revenue recognition (ASC 606), equity, and leases to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to make recommendations to clients associated with process improvements and KPIs/Dashboard improvements.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
• Comply with the firm’s policies and procedures, such as timesheet submission, attendance policy, etc.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
• Licensed CPA
• Previous public accounting experience working in audit
• A minimum of 5 combined years of accounting experience with at least 2 in industry after completing time at a CPA firm
• Preference given to candidates working in Software or Manufacturing companies
• Deep working knowledge and understanding of U.S. General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Ability to learn and work across multiple accounting systems (e.g. QuickBooks and NetSuite) and prioritize multiple tasks in fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Preference is given to candidates with previous experience using QuickBooks Online and NetSuite
• Strong motivation and a quick learning ability, with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally—both verbally and in writing—with KBF management, employees, clients, and external partners
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to see projects through to completion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel & Outlook
• Ability to work the noted schedule below, with flexibility to schedule client meetings outside normal hours as needed

This position is for Philippine-based applicants only and will be based in our Alabang office, 5 days a week (Monday through Friday) from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Philippine Time.
