Job summary

TESDA, located at central office in the Accounting Division of the Financial and Management Service, seeks a qualified staff member for payroll review, compliance, and financial reporting support. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 2 years of relevant experience, and RA 1080 eligibility.

Successful candidates will demonstrate planning, strong communication, and analytical thinking while ensuring timely submission of required documents and adherence to GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Business Administration with Accounting major is required.
• Two years of relevant experience are required for the position.
• Eight hours of relevant training must be completed and RA 1080 eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Review payroll, purchase orders, job orders, disbursement vouchers, and other regular payments, ensuring proper deductions and taxes.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies for expenditures.
• Review withholding and remittance of taxes (BIR forms 2316 and 2307).
• Ensure GAAP is applied in recording financial transactions and that communications from offices are addressed.
• Address COA findings timely after Audit Observation Memorandum receipt.
• Ensure PDS and SALN are submitted by deadlines without revisions.
• Monitor cash advances, payables, receivables, and accounts with PLDT, Globe, and Smart Communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
