Tap Growth ai is seeking a Senior Accountant in the Philippines to support the General Ledger team and supervise Junior Accountants. You will handle monthly financial reporting, month-end closing, and reconciliations, coordinating with local finance teams to resolve variances for timely reporting.

The Senior Accountant will support the General Ledger team and supervise/review the work of Junior Accountants. The role will handle monthly financial reporting, month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and other finance-related projects. The position will also coordinate with local finance teams to resolve outstanding variances and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Serve as the primary liaison with the Business Unit (BU) Finance team regarding General Ledger activities and accounting issues.
Prepare monthly financial statements and supplementary schedules for assigned Business Units.
Coordinate month-end closing activities, including:
Preparation of standard and recurring journal entries.
General accounting activities required for month-end closing.
Balance sheet reconciliations, supporting analyses, and schedules.
Coordination of Intercompany Receivables and Payables.
Initial review of financial results and initiation of corrective actions.
Reconciliation of inventory records against the General Ledger.
Coordinate and discuss monthly financial results with assigned Business Units.
Review accounting transactions and recommend process and system improvements.
Maintain fixed asset records, including tax books.
Prepare regular financial and accounting reports as required.
Perform daily bank reconciliations for assigned Business Unit accounts.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding reconciling items.
Reconcile and review Intercompany Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable on a monthly basis.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Ensure appropriate controls are in place to address internal control and compliance requirements.
Implement and support new procedures, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support quality assurance and process improvement projects focused on improving metrics, efficiency, and workflow.
Ensure compliance with documented process control procedures.
Supervise Junior Accountants by assigning and delegating tasks and activities.
Monitor team members' performance and progress.
Identify training and development needs of Junior Accountants.
Support training requirements coordinated by the HR Department.
Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members.
Approve overtime, leaves/offsets, and shift changes as applicable.
Address and resolve personnel-related concerns and conflicts.
Provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
Recognize and recommend employees for rewards and performance incentives.
Participate in recruitment interviews and provide employee orientation.
Implement and enforce the Company's Code of Conduct and applicable company policies.
Address employee violations in accordance with company disciplinary procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable safety policies and requirements.
Ensure team members complete required safety and compliance training.
Support the consistent implementation of the 5S program.
Participate in workplace inspections, audits, and corrective action monitoring as required.
Act as an emergency response Incident Commander when assigned.
Must Have:
Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy.
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
At least 5 years of experience in audit and/or financial accounting.
Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and other accounting applications.
Experience working with comprehensive ERP systems.
Experience using SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP systems.
Experience in a Shared Services or multinational organization is preferred.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
High degree of initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
