Job summary

K2 Partnering Solutions in Spain is seeking a Software Engineer focused on security, cryptography, and cloud-native tech. You will design and build a highly secure Key Management Service (KMS) for an international client, handling secure key generation, lifecycle, and cryptographic operations.

The role is permanent and remote from Spain, offering direct employment with the company. You will work on scalable APIs, REST endpoints, and Kubernetes operators to automate KMS and Secrets Manager

Are you a Software Engineer with a strong interest in security, cryptography, and cloud-native technologies?

In this role, you will help design and build a highly secure Key Management Service (KMS) for an international client. You’ll work on everything from secure key generation and lifecycle management to cryptographic operations and scalable APIs.

Contract: permanent, remote from Spain, direct with the company

Salary range: 60-90k

What you bring

• Strong background in Software Engineering, Cryptography, and Cloud Security
• Hands-on experience with Golang (must have)
• Familiar with AES-GCM, RSA-OAEP, ECDSA, key wrapping, and secure transport
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes would be considered a plus

What you will do

• Design and develop a Key Management Service (KMS)
• Implement secure key generation, lifecycle management, and key rotation
• Create REST APIs for Key Rings, external key import, and signing/verification
• Ensure compliance with cryptographic standards (AES, RSA, ECDSA, HMAC)
• Develop Kubernetes operators to automate KMS and Secrets Manager lifecycle (no prior experience is required, we’re looking for a genuine interest in Kubernetes and a willingness to learn)
