Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH is seeking a Security Architect to monitor and respond to real-time cyber threats within our Security Operations Command Center. You will identify attacks, strategize mitigations, and coordinate with customers to minimize impact on their digital properties.

The role emphasizes expert networking knowledge, familiarity with Akamai platforms, and strong customer-facing communication as part of a fast-paced security team.

Qualifications

• 3 years relevant industry experience on networking OR Akamai Platform OR Web application Security.
• In-depth understanding of networking fundamentals (basic networking, TCP, IP, UDP).
• Knowledge of how the internet works, including DNS, HTTP, IP protocols.

Responsibilities

• Devising and engaging mitigation strategies to prevent real time attacks, using Akamai products & platform.
• Performing advanced analysis to identify attacks and threats to customer's digital properties and/or their business network.
• Communicating with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on mitigations and analyses.
• Innovating around tooling development and product enhancement.
• Being an advocate for customer centricity during day-to-day operations and incidents.
