The Secured Loans Liaison Officer manages LoansOne's secured lending referrals from initial
qualification through to settlement. As the central contact for the internal sales team, clients and
external lending partners, the role combines preliminary assessment, company due diligence,
indicative offers and application coordination.
The successful candidate will identify suitable opportunities, prepare accurate referral
submissions, explain indicative terms clearly and keep applications progressing through timely
follow up and reliable communication.
Manage incoming secured loan referrals and confirm the applicant's funding requirement, loan
purpose, required timeframe, business activity, trading history and proposed repayment or exit
strategy.
Collect initial financial and security information, including turnover, existing debts, property
ownership, estimated property value and outstanding secured debt. Assess preliminary fit
against approved lender criteria.
Assess HomeSec suitability first in line with the approved referral process, then coordinate
alternatives through Ownright or other approved partners where appropriate.
Record the qualification outcome, supporting reasons, missing information and next action.
Maintain an accurate pipeline with clear owners, follow up dates and application stages.
Verify the company's legal name, Australian Business Number (ABN), entity type, ABN status
and GST registration details using ABN Lookup, and reconcile these against the application.
Check the Australian Company Number (ACN), company registration status and relevant director
or officeholder details through approved ASIC searches or company extracts.
Confirm the proposed borrowing entity, relevant directors, guarantors and authorised contact.
Obtain identity, authority and supporting company documents required by the lender.
Review available bank statements, financial information, liabilities and security details for
completeness and consistency. Obtain any required consent before requesting credit reports or
restricted information.
Identify and escalate discrepancies, inactive registrations, adverse information or unclear
ownership and authority. Record checks, evidence and unresolved issues in the CRM for lender
or credit team review.
Prepare and communicate indicative offers using current approved lender criteria, pricing
guidance or written lender quotations.
Outline the proposed loan amount, term, estimated interest and fees, repayment structure,
security requirements and estimated net proceeds where available.
Explain assumptions, conditions, required documents and any validity period. Make clear that
indicative terms are subject to lender assessment, verification, valuation where required and
formal approval.
Record the offer version, source of pricing, client response and next steps. Refer exceptions or
requests outside approved authority to the appropriate lender or manager.
Act as the primary internal liaison with approved lending and referral partners, building
responsive and professional working relationships.
Obtain current product criteria, indicative figures, pricing, quotations and application updates,
and maintain reliable information for the internal team.
Clarify lender requirements, follow up on outstanding decisions and elevate delays or issues to
the appropriate stakeholders.
Prepare complete referral packs with a clear summary of the applicant, funding request,
proposed security, initial assessment and outstanding issues.
Gather and check required documents before submission, ensuring they are current, legible,
consistent and meet the lender's submission requirements.
Coordinate additional information requests between clients, brokers, internal teams and lenders,
with clear deadlines and follow up.
Track applications through assessment, approval, documentation and settlement. Escalate
stalled files and communicate conditions or changes promptly.
Confirm settlement outcomes and provide the relevant internal teams with funded amounts,
settlement dates and commission information when confirmed.
Support the LoansOne sales team with product information, qualification guidance and clear
referral requirements.
Provide timely updates on application status, indicative terms, lender feedback, outstanding
requirements and expected next steps.
Work with management to improve referral quality, handovers and secured lending workflows.
Maintain accurate CRM records, documents, correspondence, indicative offers and application
histories, with appropriate confidentiality and access controls.
Report on referral volumes, qualification outcomes, conversions, approvals, settlements,
turnaround times and pipeline bottlenecks.
Identify recurring documentation or process issues and recommend improvements that reduce
rework and improve the client experience.
Proven experience in secured lending, mortgage processing, loan coordination or a comparable
financial services role; Australian lending experience is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of company ABNs and ACNs, property security, equity, loan to value ratios
and common lender documentation requirements.
Ability to review company records and financial documents, identify inconsistencies and prepare
clear preliminary assessment summaries.
Confidence explaining indicative loan terms accurately, with sound numerical skills and attention
to detail.
Strong written and verbal English, stakeholder management and follow up skills, with the ability
to manage multiple applications and deadlines.
Proficiency in CRM systems, preferably Zoho CRM, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace,
and discretion when handling confidential information.
Timeliness of referral acknowledgement, qualification and lender endorsement against agreed
turnaround standards.
Accuracy and completeness of initial due diligence, indicative offers and lender submissions,
with minimal avoidable rework.
Timely follow up and clear communication with clients, internal teams and lending partners.
Pipeline progression, approval and settlement outcomes, with reasons recorded for declined,
withdrawn or stalled applications.
Accuracy of CRM records, supporting evidence, next actions and management reporting.
Adherence to approved processes, delegated authority and confidentiality requirements.
Progress suitable secured lending opportunities efficiently from referral to settlement through sound
initial qualification, documented due diligence, clear indicative offers and accurate coordination
between LoansOne and its lending partners.
