Job summary

Emapta Global in Metro Manila is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile transformation, coach teams, and remove impediments across cross-functional groups in a hybrid setup.

You will partner with Product Owners and engineers to improve delivery, foster a collaborative culture, and drive value for international clients while growing a global career. The role includes mentorship and access to Emapta Academy training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Business or related field.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Demonstrated experience removing impediments and coaching teams.

Responsibilities

• Educate and coach Scrum Teams and stakeholders on Agile principles.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Remove impediments that hinder team progress.
• Foster a safe, transparent environment for self-organizing teams.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Management, or a related field is preferred

Experience

• At least 3-5 years of experience in Agile or Scrum environments, including demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master
• Proven ability to facilitate Agile delivery across cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated experience managing complex impediments, dependencies, risks, and delivery challenges
• Skilled in coaching teams and stakeholders on Agile principles and continuous improvement
• Effective collaboration with Product Owners, Engineering teams, Product Managers, and business stakeholders

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Scrum principles, Agile methodologies, ceremonies, and best practices
• Proficiency in facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and other Agile activities
• Solid understanding of product development and the software delivery lifecycle
• Proficiency in Agile and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms
• Strong understanding of Agile metrics, team performance, velocity, capacity, and delivery tracking

Responsibilities

Agile Coaching and Facilitation

• Educate and coach Scrum Teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, the Scrum framework, and established best practices
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, and other Scrum events while ensuring effective team collaboration and communication
• Remove technical, organizational, and interpersonal impediments that hinder team progress
• Foster a safe, supportive, and transparent environment that empowers team members to self-organize, make decisions, and improve continuously
• Develop high-performing, self-organizing teams by identifying skills gaps, promoting knowledge sharing, and facilitating team-building activities
• Address and resolve conflicts within Scrum Teams while fostering a culture of trust, respect, and collaboration
• Ensure Scrum Teams comply with organizational policies, standards, guidelines, and applicable industry regulations throughout the project lifecycle
• Promote adherence to Agile and Scrum principles across teams and the organization while contributing to a robust Agile governance framework

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate technological innovations and initiatives, identify concerns, develop relevant solutions, track progress, and drive activities to completion
• Protect Scrum Teams from external interruptions and distractions, enabling them to focus on delivering high-quality work during each sprint
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure understanding of the Scrum process and the team's commitment to incremental value delivery
• Promote continuous learning and improvement by facilitating regular retrospectives and encouraging team members to share ideas, feedback, and lessons learned
• Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen Agile practices and overall team performance

Collaboration and Communication

• Foster open communication and collaboration within Scrum Teams and between teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and priorities
• Serve as a bridge between Scrum Teams and other Emapta roles, including Product Owners, Project Managers, and senior leaders, to enable seamless collaboration and information flow

Project Management

• Define project scope, timelines, resource allocation, success measures, and reporting requirements for each project
• Manage project budgets and expenses
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements
• Ensure team compliance with Scrum and Agile methodologies, standards, and best practices

Metrics and Reporting

• Track and monitor key Agile metrics, including velocity, sprint burndown, and team capacity, to assess progress and identify improvement opportunities
• Communicate team progress, impediments, and achievements to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and visibility into the team's work

Other Responsibilities

• Perform administrative, non-administrative, and other duties assigned by authorized company representatives through written or verbal instructions
