Job summary

Greensafe International Pte Ltd in the Philippines is seeking a dedicated horticulture assistant to maintain school green spaces and urban farming facilities. You will trim plants, manage irrigation, and support hydroponics systems while guiding students in practical activities.

You will inspect spaces for health, apply organic pest control, keep equipment organized, and assist with club projects and environmental initiatives, working Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 am–12:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Trimming, pruning, and basic tree/plant maintenance.
• Irrigation system management and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience: at least one year in horticulture or related field.

• Maintain school green spaces and urban farming facilities.
• Provide horticultural advice to staff and students.
• Inspect green spaces and perform minor repairs; monitor plant health.
• Identify and treat pest/fungal problems using organic methods.
• Carry out trimming, fertilising, mulching, edging, and weeding.
• Conduct inventory checks and organize gardening equipment/stores.
• Support Environmental Club CCA and Primary 4/5 Project Work (germination, transplanting, harvesting).
• Guide students in practical activities and prepare materials/equipment.

• Maintain urban farm and hydroponics system (top up water/nutrients, ice packs, sow seeds)
