Site Acquisition Specialist
A Site Acquisition Specialist is responsible for securing sites for telecommunications projects, negotiating lease agreements, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate and evaluate potential sites for telecommunications infrastructure, such as cell towers or small cell installations
- Negotiate lease agreements with landowners, ensuring favorable terms for the company while addressing landowner concerns
- Ensure all site acquisitions comply with local zoning laws, building codes, and other regulatory requirements
- Work closely with legal, engineering, and construction teams to facilitate the site acquisition process and ensure all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted
- Manage multiple site acquisition projects concurrently, maintaining timelines and budgets while ensuring quality control throughout the process
- Serve as a point of contact for local communities and government agencies, addressing any concerns related to site development
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, real estate, business administration, or a related field is often preferred
- Previous experience in site acquisition, real estate, or telecommunications is highly desirable
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Familiarity with zoning laws and permitting processes is beneficial
- The role typically involves an office setting with frequent travel to potential site locations for meetings and site assessments
- Reports to the Site Acquisition Manager or Director of Real Estate
