Job summary

NRI Australia & New Zealand is seeking a SAP Test Engineer to ensure stability, availability, and reliability of production platforms and applications through functionally based testing. You will join the Managed Services team delivering measurable outcomes for Australia’s leading organisations.

The role involves preparing test plans, developing scenarios, executing test cases, defect triage, UAT planning, dashboards, and collaboration with project managers to drive quality across SAP modules

Qualifications

• At least 5-6 years automation testing experience in a Managed Services environment or large government agency, preferably outsourcing.

The SAP Test Engineer role is responsible for the testing & quality assurance of the customer’s range of software products. It ensures stability, availability & reliability of production platforms & applications through the planning & execution of functionally based testing.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist preparation of overall system test plans & approach
• Assist development of system test scenarios
• Execute test cases
• Appropriately triage defects
• Execute defect fix testing during system testing
• Assist in the preparation of UAT scenarios & test cases
• Execute defect fix retesting during UAT period
• Assist development of dashboards on test execution progress (includes reporting on test metrics)
• Consulting on testing matters to business & project managers

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 5-6 years automation testing experience in a Managed Services environment or large government agency, preferably within an outsourcing environment
• Experience with ERP, specifically SAP modules in FICO, PS/MM & PPM
• Strong technical documentation/interpretation skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize & solve problems proactively
• Ability to focus on deadlines & deliverables
• Ability to think abstractly
• Team player with strong customer focus
• Excellent problem-solving & troubleshooting abilities
• Good knowledge of business procedures & systems
• Willingness to learn new technology skills to keep pace with the improvements of the testing process
