SAP PP Consultant

Role Purpose

You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of production planning processes within SAP environments. You will analyze and enhance end-to-end production workflows to improve resource utilization, delivery performance, and operational efficiency.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will translate business requirements into scalable SAP PP solutions that support informed decision-making and manufacturing excellence. You will also drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring production planning capabilities remain aligned with evolving business needs and market demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver end-to-end SAP PP project phases, including Business Blueprint, Functional Specifications, System Configuration, Testing, User Training, Data Migration, Go-Live, and post–go-live support
• Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into effective SAP PP solutions through workshops, process mapping, and Fit–Gap analysis
• Apply SAP best practices and global standards to drive simplicity, efficiency, and effectiveness across production planning processes
• Present functional solutions, concepts, and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels within the client organization
• Identify, propose, and lead business process improvement initiatives, including Change Requests
• Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to junior or less-experienced consultants
• Accurately scope project activities, define deliverables, and estimate timelines related to SAP PP workstreams
• Continuously develop SAP expertise by keeping up to date with innovations such as SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC), SAP Intelligent Production Design, and SAP Production Engineering & Operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams to contribute to successful project delivery and overall organizational goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of hands-on SAP Production Planning (PP) experience, covering both implementation and support in ECC and S/4HANA environments
• At least 2 full-cycle SAP PP implementations as Functional Lead
• Proven MRP implementation experience (minimum of 1 project)
• Strong expertise in end-to-end Plan-to-Produce business processes
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Production Planning, Detailed Scheduling, Advanced Planning, Capacity Planning, Predictive MRP, and EWM Production Integration
• Demonstrated experience integrating SAP PP with other modules, including MM, FI, SD, QM, PM, and WM/EWM
• Experience with SAP Fiori (strongly preferred)
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and mentor junior consultants
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional and senior stakeholders
