Job summary

Converge ICT Solutions Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking an experienced SAP MM Functional Expert to design, configure, implement, and support SAP MM processes, including purchasing, inventory, valuation, and invoice verification.

You will work with Finance/Controlling and other modules to ensure end-to-end process alignment, develop functional specs, and support testing, training, and upgrades for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on SAP MM configuration and support experience.
• Strong knowledge of MM sub-modules: Purchasing, Inventory Management, Valuation, Invoice Verification, and Material Master Data.
• Familiarity with integration points between MM and SD, FICO, WM modules.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements with Finance/Controlling stakeholders and map to SAP functionalities (AS-IS/TO-BE).
• Analyze and document business processes and gaps between standard SAP and business needs.
• Configure SAP MM functionalities including purchasing, inventory management, valuation, and invoice verification.
• Design functional specifications for custom developments (RICEFW: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
• Coordinate cross-module integration (MM with FICO, SD, PM, PP, HR).
• Prepare test plans and conduct Unit/Integration/UAT testing; support user testing.
• Develop training materials and conduct end-user training sessions.
• Evaluate SAP releases and upgrades; drive process improvements and system optimization.

Details

Requirements Gathering & Business Process Analysis

Objective: Understand and document business needs and map them to SAP functionalities.

• Conduct workshops with Finance/Controlling stakeholders to gather detailed requirements.
• Analyze and document current business processes (AS-IS) and define the future state (TO-BE).
• Identify gaps between standard SAP functionality and business requirements.

Solution Design & Configuration

Objective: Translate business needs into SAP MM configuration.

• Configure and implement SAP MM functionalities including purchasing, inventory management, vendor master data, valuation, and invoice verification.
• Design functional specifications for custom developments (RICEFW: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
• Ensure compliance with business controls, legal standards, and audit requirements.

Integration & Cross-Module Coordination

Objective: Ensure seamless integration between MM and other SAP modules.

• Collaborate with teams from FICO (Financial and Controlling), SD (Sales & Distribution), PM (Plant Maintenance), PP (Production Planning), and HR for end-to-end process alignment.
• Configure and support inter-module data flow (e.g., Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash).

Testing & Quality Assurance

Objective: Validate functionality and ensure system stability.

• Prepare test plans and conduct Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Identify and resolve defects or issues arising during testing cycles.
• Support end-users in executing test scenarios.

End-User Training & Documentation

Objective: Ensure users can operate the system effectively.

• Develop training materials, user manuals, and quick reference guides.
• Conduct formal training sessions and hands-on workshops for business users.
• Provide knowledge transfer to support teams.

System Upgrades & Continuous Improvement

Objective: Enhance system capabilities and adapt to evolving business needs.

• Evaluate and implement new SAP releases, patches, and enhancements.
• Work on SAP S/4HANA migration or upgrades if applicable.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and system optimization.

Production Support & Issue Resolution

Objective: Maintain system integrity post-go-live.

• Provide day-to-day support for FICO-related issues.
• Monitor system processes (e.g., month-end/year-end closing).
• Troubleshoot integration and data issues with other modules or third-party systems.

Governance & Compliance

Objective: Align SAP system operations with internal policies and external regulations.

• Ensure internal controls and segregation of duties are enforced in SAP.
• Support IFRS and other compliance audits.
• Maintain audit trails and documentation.

Qualifications

The SAP MM (Materials Management) Functional Expert is responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP MM solutions that align with the organization's procurement and inventory processes. This role ensures efficient and effective use of the SAP MM module to meet business objectives, optimize supply chain operations, and integrate with other SAP modules like SD, FICO, and PP.

Certifications (Preferred)

• SAP Certification in MM

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of financial and SCM business processes.
