About the role

As a Functional Subject Matter Expert, a typical day involves ensuring that business processes are accurately reflected within the system by applying comprehensive knowledge of operational workflows. This role includes validating requirements and collaborating closely with stakeholders to confirm that the implemented solutions align with actual business needs. The position requires continuous engagement with various teams to maintain functional accuracy and support seamless system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform
• Responsible for team decisions
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams
• Facilitate communication between technical and business teams to ensure clarity and alignment
• Support the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance system functionality
• Mentor team members to build expertise and promote knowledge sharing
• Monitor project progress and assist in resolving any functional challenges that arise

About you

• Expert proficiency in SAP FI CO Finance
• Proficiency in SAP Project System (PS), SAP FI S/4HANA Central Finance
• Strong understanding of financial accounting and controlling principles within enterprise resource planning systems
• Experience in analyzing and optimizing business processes related to finance and controlling modules
• Ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into functional specifications
• Familiarity with integration points between finance modules and other enterprise systems
• Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP FI CO Finance
