Job summary

Stefanini North America and APAC seeks an experienced SAP Basis Admin to join our team in a hands-on role managing SAP environments, ensuring performance, availability, and security. You will coordinate with functional and development teams across ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, and SCM, performing upgrades, backups, and system tuning.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of SAP Basis experience, familiarity with SAP HANA, and cloud environment exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of SAP Basis administration experience.
• Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA systems, including installation, upgrade, and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with at least SAP HANA database.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of automation and scripting for routine admin tasks.
• Certifications in SAP Basis or related areas are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily SAP system checks and monitor performance for optimal operation.
• Manage and monitor SAP landscapes including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, SCM.
• Conduct system tasks such as copies, patches, kernel upgrades, and DB maintenance.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP system issues.
• Implement SAP backups and restore processes to ensure data integrity.
• Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems and related OS components.
• Perform system tuning and capacity planning to maintain high availability.
• Analyze performance metrics and optimize SAP systems for efficiency.
• Collaborate with functional teams to address performance issues and fine-tune configurations.
• Provide Level 2 and 2+ technical support for SAP Basis issues, coordinating with SAP Support.
• Support incident, problem, and change management per ITIL standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a SAP Basis Admin to join our Team.

The ideal candidate will manage and maintain the SAP environment, ensuring system performance, availability, and security. The role involves both hands-on technical work and coordination with functional and development teams to ensure that all components of the SAP landscape are running efficiently. The SAP Basis Consultant acts as a key technical resource for the implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems.

What will you do?

• Perform daily SAP system checks and monitor system performance to ensure optimal operation.
• Manage and monitor SAP system landscapes, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, SCM, and other SAP systems.
• Perform routine tasks such as system copies, patches, kernel upgrades, and database maintenance.

• Provide Level 2 and Level 2+ technical support for SAP Basis-related issues, coordinating with SAP Support and internal teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes following ITIL standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed.

What do you need to succeed?

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent professional experience may also be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in SAP Basis administration.
• Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA systems, including installation, upgrade, and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with at least SAP HANA database.
• Technical skills:
• System management, installations, configuration & upgrade - medium level
• S/4HANA conversion expertise - beginer level
• System migration knowledge - medium level
• OS administration for SAP - medium level
• Execute release upgrades and support package applications, ensuring compliance with SAP guidelines and best practices.
• Experience in system migrations, both on-premises and to cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or SAP Cloud Platform.

Soft Skills

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills capable of handling a vast variety of systems.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage relationships with customer representatives, including those from different cultural backgrounds.

Language Proficiency
