Job summary

ING is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join the Technology team and contribute to designing, developing, and enhancing SAP Banking Services platforms. You will work on large-scale SAP implementations and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic banking environment.

The role involves delivering technical solutions for SAP Banking Services modules, developing ABAP objects, and maintaining thorough technical documentation while supporting SIT and UAT activities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Experience across multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
• Strong expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP, Custom Development, Performance Tuning, BADIs and BAPIs, Interfaces and Integrations, Workflows and Enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver technical solutions for SAP Banking Services modules (FS-AM, FS-MCM, FS-PE, Effective Cash Pooling).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and assess solution impacts.
• Develop and enhance SAP ABAP objects (Reports, Interfaces, RFCs, BAPIs, Web Services, Workflows, BADIs).
• Prepare technical documentation, functional specs, and unit test artifacts.
• Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT activities.
• Manage transport releases across SAP environments.
• Investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor team members.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Banking or financial services industry experience.
• Exposure to blueprint, build, deployment, post-go-live support, and production support phases.
• Experience working within agile delivery environments.
