Job summary

NTT DATA Asia Pacific in the Philippines seeks an experienced SAP ABAP developer to design, develop and document SAP customizations. You will work with Business Analysts and Consultants across SAP modules and translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

You will write technical specifications, code ABAP according to functional specs, test thoroughly, and support users post-implementation while keeping up with the latest SAP developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree graduate.
• Has at least 6 years’ experience in SAP ABAP.
• Experience in programming and Object-oriented programming.
• Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand end-user requirements by coordinating with Business/Functional Analysts and seek clarification for best solutions.
• Coordinate with Analysts/Consultants handling SAP modules to ensure a consistent experience for users.
• Provide documentation as Technical Specifications for SAP process changes.
• Write ABAP code from Functional Specifications and test usability in development.
• Ensure programs are completed on schedule and allocate man-days for development.
• Provide user support, troubleshoot defects, and implement changes post-delivery.
• Stay updated with SAP development advances and self-train as needed.

Job Description:

• Understand the requirements of the end-users by coordinating with the Business Analyst / Functional Analyst / Consultant and seek clarification in order to provide the best possible solution.


• Coordinating and consulting the Business Analyst / Functional Analyst / Consultant who is in-charge in SAP modules such as SAP FI/CO, MM, PS, SD, RE and Business Analytics to ensure a consistent experience to the various users on the client's side.


• Providing documentation in the form of Technical Specification for every change or modification in SAP Processes.


• Writing the code using ABAP programming language on the basis of the Functional Specification from Business Analyst / Functional Analyst / Consultant and blueprint provided by the end-users and performing regular tests in development client on the usability of the code.


• Ensuring that all programs are completed in schedule as per the provided timeline and allocating appropriate man-days required in the development.


• Providing technical support to the end users in the form of troubleshooting during system defect and error and modifications to the system after it has been delivered.


• To stay updated with the latest technological advancement and changes in the world of SAP development and adapting to these changes by self-training and research work.
