Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Safety, Health, and Environment Supervisor to lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of workplace SHE programs at Navotas City, Philippines. You will ensure regulatory compliance and collaborate with the Operational Planning and Performance Management teams to deliver safe, responsible energy operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering/OSH/Environmental Science, a Certified Safety Officer credential, and proven experience in safety leadership,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Certified Safety Officer with the required OSH training/certification.
• Experience in Safety, Health, Environment, or OSH, preferably in power, industrial, manufacturing, construction, or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.
• Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, technical teams, and government regulatory agencies.
• Willingness to work in a plant/industrial environment and respond to emergency situations when needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the Health and Safety Program, including manuals, procedures, and protocols.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, structures, and work practices.
• Investigate and resolve health and safety findings with corrective actions.
• Identify and validate hazards and risks; enforce stoppage when imminent hazards exist.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, permits, licenses, and certifications.
• Coordinate with maintenance and technical teams on safety measures.
• Serve as Secretary of the PHESSCOM Committee.
• Monitor compliance with safety rules among employees and contractors.
• Procure PPE, safety equipment, signage, and safety requirements.
• Review procurement specs to ensure safety features are included.
• Ensure vehicle and equipment certifications and safe operation by qualified personnel.
• Lead or support emergency drills; act as First Aider.
• Monitor fire/safety equipment readiness and effectiveness; support firefighting operations.
• Represent the company during safety regulatory inspections and government engagements.

As Safety, Health, and Environment Supervisor, you will lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of workplace Health, Safety, and Environment (SHE) programs, ensuring compliance with government regulations, company standards, and safety requirements, and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Operational Planning and Performance Management team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Develop, implement, and monitor the Health and Safety Program, including safety manuals, procedures, and protocols.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, structures, work practices, and processes.
• Monitor, investigate, and ensure the resolution of health and safety findings through appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Identify and validate workplace hazards and risks and recommend or enforce work stoppage when imminent hazards are present.
• Ensure compliance with government-mandated health and safety regulations, permits, licenses, and certifications.
• Coordinate with maintenance and technical teams on corrective and preventive safety measures.
• Serve as Secretary of the Plant Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Committee (PHESSCOM).
• Monitor compliance with safety rules and procedures among employees and contractors.
• Ensure the availability and proper procurement of PPE, safety equipment, signage, and other safety requirements.
• Review procurement specifications to ensure appropriate safety features and protective devices are incorporated.
• Ensure company vehicles and heavy equipment are properly certified, maintained, and operated by qualified personnel.
• Lead or support emergency preparedness drills and serve as a First Aider.
• Monitor the effectiveness and readiness of fire and safety equipment.
• Support and supervise rescue and firefighting operations during emergencies, accidents, or fires.
• Represent the company during safety regulatory inspections and engagements with government agencies.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in Safety, Health, Environment, or Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), preferably in a power, industrial, manufacturing, construction, or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.
• Certified Safety Officer with the required OSH training/certification.
