Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a qualified Safety Officer / Document Controller to oversee on-site health and safety compliance while maintaining and managing all technical project documentation.

The successful candidate will ensure zero-accident site conditions and maintain an organized, audit-ready document management system, coordinating with project teams and regulators as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• COSH certification or equivalent safety credential required.
• Minimum 2–3 years in construction safety and document handling.
• Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and enforce OSH standards and site safety policies.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings, safety inspections, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and prepare root-cause reports with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with management, clients, and authorities on compliance and permits.
• Receive, log, track, and distribute project documents.
• Ensure teams work with latest drawings and contract documents.
• Assist in preparing monthly progress reports, turnover packages, and closeout documentation.

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer / Document Controller to oversee on-site health and safety compliance while maintaining and managing all technical project documentation. The successful candidate will ensure zero-accident site conditions and maintain an organized, audit-ready document management system.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and enforce Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards and site safety policies.


• Conduct daily tool-box meetings, safety inspections, and site risk assessments (Job Hazard Analysis).


• Investigate incidents/accidents, prepare detailed root-cause reports, and recommend corrective actions.


• Coordinate with project management, clients, and local regulatory bodies regarding compliance and safety permits.


• Receive, log, track, and distribute all project incoming/outgoing documents (drawings, submittals, RFIs, change orders, quality documents, and letters).


• Ensure all team members work with the latest revised drawings, specifications, and contract documents.


• Assist in preparing monthly progress reports, turnover packages, and closeout documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.


• Certified Safety Officer (COSH).


• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in construction safety and project document handling.


• Strong knowledge of local OSH standards and construction safety regulations.


• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace.


• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
