Job Description
We are looking for a safety professional to manage workplace safety. Responsibilities and requirements are listed below.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and Assess Hazards: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and threats to safety, health, and the environment.
- Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and protocols to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct Safety Training: Provide training and orientation to employees on safety procedures, protocols, and best practices.
- Investigate Incidents: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑miss events to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and Report Safety Performance: Track and analyze safety metrics, such as incident rates, injury frequencies, and lost‑time injuries, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with employees, management, contractors, and regulatory agencies to promote a safety‑first culture and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Stay Up‑to‑Date with Regulations: Maintain knowledge of relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Safety Officer 3.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Experience working in industries such as construction, manufacturing, healthcare, or government environments.
- Willingness to travel to different locations for site assessments, training, and inspections.
