• Provides complete safety instructions to all employees prior to assignment of duties.
• Enforces all safety rules, regulations, and requirements.
• Coordinates with regulating bodies regarding health and safety requirements.
• Continually inspects for unsafe practices and conditions and promptly takes corrective action to eliminate causes of accidents.
• Properly investigates all accidents and prepares reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Monitors good housekeeping and maintains high standards of operational cleanliness in company shops.
• Ensures that the right equipment and tools are selected for the job, kept in good repair, and used correctly.
• Ensures that employees are provided with proper protective equipment and that it is properly used.
• Ensures fire protection equipment is properly maintained and that employees are trained in its operation.
• Performs other related duties and special assignments that may be assigned from time to time.
