Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Safety, Health and Environment Supervisor in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. You will plan, develop, and implement health and safety programs for site operations and growth projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and strong safety performance.

You will lead safety teams, conduct audits, manage incidents, and drive environmental initiatives to protect people, assets, and the environment in a purpose-driven energy company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or related field.
• 3+ years SHE experience in power plant or heavy industry.
• DOLE-accredited Safety Officer certification.
• Experience implementing health and safety programs, audits and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of DOLE, DENR, BFP, PEZA, DOH, and PCG regs.
• Incident investigation/management and emergency response experience.
• Familiarity with environmental management and pollution control requirements.

Responsibilities

As Safety, Health and Environment Supervisor, you be responsible for the planning and development and implementation of health and safety programs, processes and procedures in the workplace. The position supervises the correct implementation of government health and safety regulations and standards and the implementation of the Health and Safety Program of the Aboitiz Power Generation Group and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the safety team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Develop, update, and implement SHE programs, manuals, procedures, and initiatives for site operations and growth projects, including simultaneous operations.
• Ensure SHE regulatory compliance across Site Operations and Projects, including regulatory inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, work practices, and processes to identify and mitigate workplace hazards and risks.
• Recommend safety and operational procedures to support loss prevention for people, assets, reputation, and the environment.
• Lead incident management, emergency response, risk mitigation, and emergency preparedness activities.
• Conduct safety orientations, training, drills, and contractor safety programs.
• Supervise SHE personnel and monitor employee and contractor compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Drive environmental compliance, pollution control, sanitation, and workplace hazard mitigation initiatives.

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:

• Has strong knowledge of incident management, emergency response, crisis command structures, and risk mitigation.
• Understands power plant operations and related technical safety requirements.
• Has working knowledge of environmental compliance, pollution control, and abatement processes.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Can effectively conduct safety audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Can work effectively with Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, contractors, and government regulatory bodies.
• Is capable of leading teams, resolving conflicts, and coaching SHE personnel and site stakeholders.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of SHE experience in a power plant or heavy industry environment.
• DOLE-accredited Safety Officer certification.
• Experience in health and safety program implementation, audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of applicable government regulations and agencies, including DOLE, DENR, BFP, PEZA, DOH, and PCG.
• Experience in incident investigation/management, emergency response, risk assessment, and hazard control.
• Familiarity with environmental management and pollution control requirements.
