Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a proactive Safety, Health and Environment Senior Manager to lead SHE systems, capacity building, and contract governance across projects. You will align onsite SHE programs, foster a zero-harm culture, and drive regulatory compliance with industry best practices.

You will design and implement risk-based safety programs, oversee PtW control, and partner with regions to sustain strong performance and stakeholder trust.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and extensive SHE experience.
• Experience in energy or utilities SHE practices is essential.
• Certification in SHE (e.g., NIBOSH) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, guide, and review SHE procedures, plans and execution across sites.
• Serve as PtW system custodian and align safety standards across teams.
• Define and monitor SHE competencies and signatories for roles.
• Implement CLI framework and train teams for root-cause analysis.

As Safety, Health and Environment Sr. Manager, you will develop and implement SHE Management Systems, tools and programs to support TBG’s objectives in the areas of SHE capacity building, SHE contract management and SHE in Projects. The Senior Manager for SHE is also responsible for aligning SHE teams onsite in each region of operations to establish alignment across TBG and timely implementation of programs, including responsibility for building and sustaining TBG’s safety culture journey and ensuring best practice in the industry and new technologies supporting TBGs objective of zero harm to people are adopted and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with SHE team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• SHE Management System and Plan

  • Develop, guide, and continuously review SHE procedures, annual plans, and executive visit programs while providing subject matter expertise and assurance reviews across all operational sites.

  • Serve as the expert custodian for the Permit to Work (PtW) system and align cross-functionally with internal teams and industry forums to integrate personal/process safety and regulatory standards.

• SHE Competency and Capacity Building

  • Define, assess, and monitor SHE competencies and PtW signatories across all personnel and safety-critical roles in various TBG functions.

  • Implement the Causal Learning Investigation (CLI) framework and partner with the Technical Academy to train practitioners for effective root-cause analysis and cultural learning.

• Safety Culture

  • Direct the rollout of TBG’s behavioral and cultural change initiatives by customizing toolkits according to each site's specific maturity on the safety culture ladder.

  • Lead and mobilize designated team members to serve as force multipliers for driving safety culture transformation on-site.

• SHE Contract Management

  • Partner with SCM and Projects to conduct routine audits on service providers for green-banding compliance and vendor quality assurance.

  • Advise contract holders on contractor management strategies to maintain an adequate pool of approved vendors and prevent operational or project delays.

• SHE Performance Management

  • Analyze site-specific SHE performance data in collaboration with regional SHE Business Partners to identify emerging operational trends proactive.

  • Design targeted programs and deliver implementation guidance to reverse negative performance trends and sustain safety improvements.

• SHE in Projects

  • Establish comprehensive project SHE standards and required studies to prepare receiving assets for managing post-handover risks.

  • Lead the SHE workstream during the Project-to-Asset Handover Process to ensure safe startup and long-term operational stability.

• Others

  • Comply with integrated ISO management standards (covering quality, safety, environment, energy, asset, security, and continuity) and report all relevant incidents or risks.

  • Safeguard company information assets in alignment with ISMS policies and execute additional tasks assigned by the Team Lead.

What You Will Need:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering course
• Professional: At least 15 years in progressing SHE roles

• Leadership: At least 10 years managerial experience

• Project / O&M: At least 15 years with element of SHE in the role

• Certification Relevant Certification on SHE (e.g. NIBOSH) will be an advantage
