Job summary

RELX in Mexico seeks a Software Engineering Lead to build and guide a new engineering squad for a globally used healthcare education SaaS. You will shape technical decisions, mentor engineers, and partner with global teams to scale delivery.

This role combines technical leadership, people leadership, and hands-on engineering, with responsibility for architecture, production reliability, and delivering high-quality software across the stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or Master's degree.
• Significant experience in software engineering in production.
• Proven SaaS production experience.
• Experience leading engineers and software delivery teams.
• Hands-on leadership with architecture, troubleshooting, and delivery.
• Strong AWS, Angular, and Ruby on Rails experience.
• Experience collaborating with global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a new cross-functional squad in Mexico.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership and mentoring.
• Own technical direction for key modules.
• Lead architecture discussions with stakeholders.
• Ensure scalable SaaS delivery globally.
• Mentor engineers and improve delivery processes.
