Job Description

• A Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms in a hotel, resort, or similar establishment. Their primary goal is to provide guests with a comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Cleaning & Preparing Rooms: Clean guest rooms, including changing bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces.
• Replenish guest supplies such as soap, shampoo, toilet paper, towels, and minibar items.
• Ensure all furniture, appliances, and equipment are in good working order.
• Guest Requests: Respond to guest requests for additional items such as extra towels, pillows, or toiletries.
• Report any maintenance issues (e.g., broken furniture, leaking taps) to the maintenance team.
• Maintaining Cleanliness Standards: Ensure rooms are cleaned and ready for check-in as per the hotel's standards. Follow proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to maintain health and safety standards.
• Stocking and Organizing: Organize and stock housekeeping carts with necessary cleaning supplies and equipment. Ensure the linen room is well-stocked and clean.
• Other Duties: Assist with the setup of rooms for special occasions or events. Assist with laundry duties if required. Provide feedback to the supervisor about any guest complaints or issues.
• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in housekeeping or as a room attendant is preferred but not always required.
• Skills: Good physical stamina for cleaning and maintaining rooms. Attention to detail to ensure rooms are cleaned to the highest standard. Ability to follow instructions and maintain cleanliness standards. Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members. Punctual and reliable.
