Job summary

ARQUIMEA Research Center seeks a Robotics Simulation Engineer to create and maintain high‑fidelity simulation environments for advanced robotic systems. You will integrate the proprietary actuator digital twin into MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo, and similar platforms, impacting design validation and control development.

You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software teams, contribute to model-based workflows, and optimize simulators for both research and real‑time applications

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in robotic simulation and modeling.
• Proficiency in at least two robotic simulation environments.
• Strong understanding of dynamics, kinematics, control, and sensor modeling.
• Experience in integrating actuator or system models into simulation platforms.
• Programming in Python and C++ with ROS/ROS2 experience.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and validate the actuator digital twin into physics-based simulators (MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo).
• Develop high-fidelity models of robotic platforms with multi-domain fidelity.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, control, and software engineers for cross-domain sims.
• Contribute to model-based workflows for simulation-based verification and HIL/SIL testing.
• Optimize simulation performance and realism for research and real-time use.
• Support development and deployment of control algorithms within simulation.
