Job summary

Sereact is seeking a Robotics Application Engineer to design, customize, and support deployment of robotic solutions for real-world industrial needs. You will bridge development and end-users, adapting software/hardware, testing in the field, and optimizing performance in tasks like bin-picking and manipulation.

Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally is required; strong Python/C++ skills and ROS 2 expertise are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in robotics application development or integration.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++, with experience in task-level software development.
• Experience working with clients to implement and refine robotic solutions.
• Proficiency with ROS 2 and simulation tools like Gazebo or RViz.
• Hands-on experience with robotic arms, grippers, and vision systems.
• Understanding of motion planning, perception systems, and kinematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application-level issues in lab and field.

Responsibilities

• Debug and resolve application-level issues, collaborating with hardware and software teams.
• Adapt and optimize robotic systems for client applications, including path planning, perception, and object manipulation.
• Create and implement task-specific workflows, configurations, and behaviors for robotic systems.
• Develop user-friendly interfaces and tools to simplify system operation for end-users.
• Conduct onsite testing of robotic applications to validate performance and reliability.
• Iterate on applications to meet evolving client needs and improve performance.
• Provide hands-on training to clients and operators.
• Collaborate with clients to understand challenges and deliver tailored solutions.
• Document workflows and create detailed user guides.
