Fabtech Export Industries, Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Robotic Welding Operator to operate and monitor robotic welding equipment for steel walkway components. You will ensure weld quality and adherence to project specs while maintaining a safe work environment.

The role requires NC2 welding qualification and a technical welding background. On-site work with potential overtime or shifts may apply, with opportunities for growth and promotion.

Qualifications

• At least a Senior High School graduate or vocational/technical certificate related to welding or industrial technology.
• Must have NC2 Qualification in welding (MIG/GMAW).
• Experience with robotic welding or welding machine operation is preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic welding machines for steel fabrication and assembly.
• Set up welding programs, fixtures, and workpieces per drawings and instructions.
• Monitor welding operations and adjust parameters to ensure weld quality.
• Inspect welded components for defects and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Production and QA/QC to meet welding and quality requirements.
• Report malfunctions, defects, and production issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain production records and machine operation logs.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE properly.

About the role

The Robot Welding Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining robotic welding equipment used in the fabrication of steel walkway components. The role ensures that welded assemblies meet project specifications, quality standards, and production schedules while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate robotic welding machines for steel fabrication and assembly
• Set up welding programs, fixtures, and workpieces according to approved drawings and work instructions
• Monitor welding operations and adjust machine parameters as required to ensure weld quality
• Inspect welded components for defects and dimensional accuracy
• Perform routine machine cleaning, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Coordinate with Production and QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with welding and quality requirements
• Report machine malfunctions, welding defects, and production issues to the supervisor
• Maintain production records and machine operation logs
• Follow safety procedures and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

About you

• At least a Senior High School graduate, vocational graduate, or graduate of a technical course related to welding, mechanical, or industrial technology
• Must have NC2 Qualification in welding (MIG/GMAW)
• Experience in robotic welding or welding machine operation is preferred
• Knowledge of welding processes and steel fabrication is an advantage
• Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of robotic welding systems and machine operation
• Physically fit and willing to work in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Detail-oriented with good problem-solving and communication skills
• Willing to work on-site and render overtime or shifting schedules when required
