Job summary

Fontis Energy seeks a Rig Manager to lead safe, efficient, and profitable operations for the unit based in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche. You will drive execution of operating area strategy, manage budgets, and guide the rig team to meet performance targets.

The role requires extensive drilling industry experience with managerial exposure, a engineering degree, strong English and Spanish skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams while embedding a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Extensive drilling industry experience with managerial exposure.

• Strong English and Spanish language skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee rig performance and meet safety/operational targets.
• Prepare and manage rig budget and forecasts.
• Lead area management and coordinate with leadership.
• Champion safety culture and safety practices on rig.
• Manage client relations and project startups.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and contracts.
• Collaborate with other Rig Managers to achieve goals.
• Review rig contract and ensure staffing meets requirements.
• Evaluate well programs and assist with well optimization.
• Develop leadership among senior rig personnel; oversee training.
