Job summary

SMS Global Technologies Inc. is seeking a Radio Frequency Engineer to plan, design, optimize, and evaluate wireless networks including Wi-Fi, indoor DAS, and Small Cell systems. You will conduct site surveys, build RF models, and select antennas and equipment to meet targets.

You will validate designs with KPI measurements, analyze drive tests, and collaborate with sales and implementation teams to support proposals and seamless deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics and Communications Engineering or related field.
• Experience in RF planning, design or optimization (Wi-Fi, DAS, Small Cell, or cellular networks).
• Knowledge of DAS design, optimization and preferably commissioning.
• Strong grasp of wireless concepts, coverage prediction, link budgeting, and propagation modeling.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys and RF assessments to gather data for system planning.
• Create RF propagation models and simulate coverage using planning tools for Wi-Fi, DAS, and Small Cell systems.
• Design and plan indoor and outdoor wireless systems based on client requirements and environment.
• Assess deployment sites and generate reliable coverage and capacity solutions.
• Select technologies, antennas, and equipment to meet design targets.
• Conduct KPI-based validation of designs and support optimization post-deployment.
• Analyze drive test results and RF logs; propose adjustments for performance.
• Coordinate with implementation and commissioning teams for alignment and integration.
• Collaborate with sales/pre-sales to support technical scoping for proposals.
• Prepare RF design documentation, reports, and client-facing deliverables.
