Job summary

TV5 Network, Inc. is seeking an RF Broadcast Technician 1 to operate and monitor on-site broadcast equipment from reception to transmission. You will perform routine maintenance, logging, and fault monitoring to keep systems in optimal condition.

The role requires readiness to handle electrical/mechanical gear, IT equipment, and baseband systems, with focus on signal quality and timely on-air tasks. Experience is valued, but ECT or RTO licenses may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electronics Engineering preferred.
• Licensed Electronics Technician (ECT) or 1st Class RTO.
• 1 year experience required for 1st Class RTO holders.
• Good motor coordination and manual dexterity.
• Sound judgment under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of electricity and electronics.
• Working knowledge of computers and software.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors on-site RF equipment, including transmitters, TVRO, STL, and IP links.
• Maintains baseband systems, monitors equipment, and logs parameters.
• Oversees electrical/mechanical gear and records alarms and faults.
• Manages on-site IT equipment and peripherals for maintenance.
• Monitors broadcast signal quality and makes adjustments as needed.
• Executes daily on-air directives and local programming tasks.
• Regularly inspects technical areas and coordinates fixes with engineering head.
• Records on-air signals and stores files per policy.
• Keeps operations logs updated and troubleshoots issues promptly.
• Prepares technical reports per instructions from Station Engineering Head.
