Job summary

Empower Retirement is seeking a Retirement Consultant to provide personalized consultations for customers’ retirement planning needs. You will work with detailed IRA/investment product information and maintain strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, fluency in English, and willingness to work overnight hours. FINRA registrations 7 & 66 are needed within timelines, and fingerprinting is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Proven success in performance/goal-oriented roles, ideally in asset growth and retention.
• Strong computer skills: Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle stressful situations daily.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to work overnight hours.
• FINRA 7 & 66 registrations within timelines; fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and guidance to active and terminated participants in employer-sponsored retirement plans.
• Deliver personalized timing and solution recommendations (distribution, rollover, investments).
• Engage customers with listening, empathy, and proactive communication.
• Explain policies clearly and document interactions accurately.
• Handle inbound calls and outbound outreach; resolve issues and support retirement goals.
• Identify referral opportunities to partners for more complex solutions.
• Aim to meet asset growth and retention goals monthly and annually.
