Job summary

Sophia’s Garden Resort in Coron, Palawan, is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead pre-opening readiness and oversee daily resort operations. This role requires a commercially astute leader who can build teams, deploy systems, and drive guest experiences from day one.

You will manage multi-department operations, implement cloud PMS and POS platforms, recruit staff, and partner with ownership on budgets, P&L, and performance incentives. Relocation on-site.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hotel or resort operations experience, including 2 years in property management or equivalent leadership.
• Pre-opening experience or proven tenure running remote/island properties preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Filipino communication.
• Willingness to relocate and reside full-time on-site in Coron, Palawan.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute the master pre-opening plan, budgets, readiness checklists, and SOPs across Rooms, F&B, BOH, Housekeeping, and Security.
• Oversee cloud PMS, POS, channel managers, and guest messaging platforms deployment.
• Manage handover inspections, punch-lists, OS&E/FF&E setups, and initial stock procurement.
• Run end-to-end service trials and operations before welcoming guests.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training for a lean multi-department team.
• Structure schedules, performance reviews, and coverage to ensure smooth operations.
