Job summary

Australian Outsource Desk Inc. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor and/or Building Scheduler to support a residential development project with an Australian-based team.

The role focuses on quantity surveying, estimating, construction scheduling, and project documentation, requiring meticulous detail and knowledge of Australian practices. Office-based, Monday to Friday, with complete mandated benefits.

Qualifications

• Has proven experience working with Australian builders or construction companies
• Strong experience in quantity surveying, estimating and/or construction scheduling
• Familiar with Australian construction standards, processes and documentation
• Experience working on residential or development projects similar to this scope
• Can work effectively with an Australian-based project team and meet required timelines

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quantity take-offs, cost estimates, BOQs, budgets, and tender documentation
• Review construction plans, drawings, specifications, and scope of works to ensure accurate costing and project requirements
• Assist with construction scheduling, project planning, and timeline monitoring
• Track project progress and identify potential delays, cost variations, and other project risks
• Assist in reviewing and managing variations, materials, subcontractor costs, and construction-related documentation
• Coordinate with builders, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders as required
• Ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with project requirements
• Apply knowledge of Australian construction standards, processes, and documentation
• Provide regular updates and reports to the Australian-based project team
• Ensure assigned tasks and deliverables are completed accurately and within required deadlines
• Support other quantity surveying, estimating, scheduling, and project administration requirements as needed
