Job summary

SM Supermalls in Cavite is seeking a highly capable Electrical/MEP Facilities Supervisor to oversee all building services and utilities. You will lead maintenance, repairs, and replacements of MEPFS equipment, ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and act as Pollution Control Officer for the mall.

The role requires supervision of a technical team and coordination with contractors and government agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Professional License is required.
• Experience in electro-mechanical maintenance and construction in a supervisory role preferred.
• Experience managing facilities in high-rise or large retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MEPFS systems, maintenance, and utilities to ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Review tenant MEPFS plans and support inspections for renovations and expansions.
• Act as Pollution Control Officer focusing on air, water, and waste compliance.
• Implement preventive maintenance and safety measures; coordinate with contractors and agencies.
• Promote learning and mentor the engineering team.

Job Description:

Responsible in the supervision of the mall’s equipment operations in order to provide the necessary utilities for the operation of the mall. Involves planning and implementation of repairs, maintenance, and replacements of MEPFS equipment and the related systems for the safe and efficient operations of the mall. Ensures compliance of the Mall (establishment) in the standards set forth by the government agencies and local government units. The function will also act as the assigned Pollution Control Officer of the mall.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee mall engineering operations by managing MEPFS systems, maintenance, and utilities to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant facility operations.
• Review and evaluate tenant MEPFS plans to ensure adherence to mall design standards and support inspections for construction, renovation, and expansion works.
• Act as Pollution Control Officer ensuring full compliance with environmental laws, permits, and pollution control standards for air, water, and waste management.
• Implement preventive maintenance and safety measures for facilities and equipment while coordinating with contractors and government agencies.
• Promote continuous learning and team development through training participation, technical mentorship, and performance improvement initiatives.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Electrical Engineering - Professional License holder in the related field is required.
• Work experience in electro-mechanical maintenance and/or construction works in a supervisory capacity is preferred.
• With working experience in line with managing business facilities (high rise building operational equipment)
